Editing a Calculator/Visual Aid
You can add a calculator or visual aid to a compendium item to make the knowledge easier to act on and understand. Visual aids can include videos, images and more. When a compendium item has a visual aid or calculator linked to it, a calculator icon will appear next to it in user view.
Calculators can be useful when entering drug dosages and you would like to allow calculating posologies directly from the app, by linking to a relevant web based calculator
To edit the calculator/visual aid, make sure admin mode is enabled.
- Open the binder
- Press the white Edit button next to the item you want to edit.
- There are two ways to add a calculator or visual aid
- Upload a file. Drag and drop the file into the Calculator/visual aid field or click on the box to upload it
- Link to a website. You can link to it in the URL for external calculator/visual aid field
Good to know: You can use a knowledge item as a visual aid! Copy and paste the URL of the knowledge item into the field. You can find the URL by opening the knowledge item and copying the link.
