Searching for Content
Using our internal search engine on our WebApp and mobile app, you can quickly find and filter through your institution’s knowledge base, checklists, contacts and compendium to find specific knowledge and content.
How it works: You can find knowledge items, compendium items, contacts, and checklists through search!
For knowledge items, type its name or description if applicable (when a knowledge item has a description, it’ll appear in its binder right under its name) into the search bar.
For compendium items, you can type in its name or a portion of its text to find it. For example, to find the compendium item below, you could search 37906 or thoracoplasty.
For contacts, type in their name or email address. You can also search specifically within Contacts.
For checklists, type in the checklist name.
You can also type keywords into the search bar to find content tagged with that keyword!
On Our WebApp:
- Log in to our WebApp
- Click the search bar in the top of your screen
- Start typing to locate your item
Use the buttons right below the search bar to filter items — depending on which you click, only Documents or Media in your knowledge base will appear, respectively, or only items in your Compendium, Contacts, or Checklists.
Use the Filters box on the right to filter by Specialty, Subspecialty, Content Type, and Target Audience. Press Show more under each to show additional tags. Check each box you want it to include and press Apply.
Note: Not all content may have all tags (e.g., specialty, subspecialty, etc.) set and may not appear if you filter by these options.
- Find the content that you want! You can read compendium items and contacts right on the search page, but you'll need to click on a checklist or knowledge item to open it.
On Your Mobile or Tablet Device:
- Download our app if you haven't yet
- Open the app and log in
- Click the search button in the upper-right corner
- Type in the name of your item! To better filter content, see the tips below:

Good to know: Text doesn’t need to be exact — you may not need to type in an item’s full name to find what you're looking for! Similarly, search within C8 Health is not case-sensitive.
