Drafting New Documents

You can create a Smart Format document from scratch on C8 Health using our content editor.

Smart Formats is our easy-to-navigate document format. Smart Formats documents have an integrated table of contents, so users can quickly scan through your best practices. It’s easy to embed links, pictures, tables and more into them! For more information, click here.

To get started, make sure admin mode is enabled.

  1. Go to the binder where you want the document to be added. If you need to create a new binder, see our guide here
  2. Click Add New Item
  3. Select Start from scratch
  4. Type in a title in the Knowledge Item field
  5. Type out or copy and paste your best practices into our text editor. It’s easy to edit!

You can copy and paste content into the editor from Google Docs, Word documents, and more!

  1. Optional) Add any keywords or a featured image, if desired
  2. (Optional) Change the short description, owner(s), validation date, content type, specialty, subspecialty, target audience, site(s) if applicable, and expiration date
  3. Decide whether or not to notify team with the slider at the top, and then click Save. Voila! You are done
