Contributors

You can add contributor(s) to items in your C8 Health Knowledge Base. If you want to acknowledge person(s) that contributed a document in the knowledge base without setting them as the item's owner, you may want to add them as a contributor. Adding a person as a contributor will not give them permission to edit the document — if you want someone to have editing permissions for the document, add them as the item's owner.


To add contributor(s), first make sure admin mode is enabled. Then, follow the steps below.

  1. Open the knowledge item that you want to add the contributor to. Create the item if needed, or, if the item already exists, select the Edit button near the upper right of your screen
  2. Click on the Contributors bar at the top. Type in the name or email address of the person you want to add. If they are a C8 Health user, their user profile will pop up as you enter their name or email— it will automatically add both their name and email address
  3. If needed, click the x button next to any contributor to remove them
  4. Click Save (or Save Changes if editing an existing item)
