Checklists Overview
Checklists are a great resource and tool for your team to quickly access, verify and validate that standards of care have been met. Examples of checklists include:
- Equipment needed for procedures
- Protocols in specific situations
- Patient security checks
Providers can utilize these interactive checklists at the point of care and can generate reports to verify that your best practices and protocols have been met.
How it works: Users tick checkboxes in the checklist(s) as they complete each step. They can select multiple checklists (and add comments using the clipboard button next to each checklist item). Once done, users can click the blue PDF button at the bottom of their screen to create a report. They can sign it by typing in their full name and email, if different from the submitting user’s (these will appear in the bottom-left corner of the generated report if an alternate email was included) and clicking Create Report. The email of the user who submitted it will appear in the right-hand corner, along with the date and time. The reports generated will show multiple checklists, grouped by section.
If the user clicks the Send copy to e-mail checkbox in the pop-up, they can add additional email recipients. This is a useful feature for training!
Users can also click the light blue reset button in the bottom-right corner to reset the checklists so they can start again.
Users can also access additional information and references attached to checklist items. To access additional information (if applicable), they will open the checklist and click on the i icon next to the item. To access the reference, if one was given, users will click the triangle (open attachment) icon next to the item.
