Deleting an Owner

You can delete owners using User Management. Depending on whether you want to keep the owner as a user but revoke ownership permissions, remove the owner from your organization entirely or transfer ownership of all of their items to another owner but leave them as an owner, the process is slightly different.

I need to remove an owner. What should I do?

It depends on the circumstances.

  • If an owner is leaving your organization: Follow the steps below to delete owner.
  • If an owner is switching roles within your organization: If the person switching roles should not own any content any more, change their permissions to viewer. If the person switching roles should own different content, follow the steps to transfer ownership.

To remove the owner from your organization entirely:

  1. Make sure you're in admin mode
  2. Hover over the C8 Health logo in the upper-right corner
  3. Click on User Management in the drop-down menu that appears
  4. Find the owner you want to remove using the Search button or by finding their name on the list (Tip: you can sort alphabetically by Email, First Name, and Last Name by clicking on the headings!)
  5. Click on the owner
  6. Select Delete
  7. Click on the field in the pop-up that appears to select an alternative owner. You can also add a new owner by clicking Add New Owner

To change the owner to a viewer:

Follow the steps here.

Tip: An alternative owner is required to delete a current owner. This is to make sure that all of your content has an owner, is vetted and to keep it up to date!

  1. Press the red Yes, Delete button
